INTENSIVE COURSE AT LITHUANIAN ACADEMY OF MUSIC AND THEATRE, VILNIUS

26th August - 2nd September 2018
4 ECTS

In Vilnius in August 2018, a large group of students and teachers of performing arts gathered in Vilnius for a 6-day creative workshop on sustainable artistic practice. Students worked in group towards a final presentation under the supervision of 13 mentors from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Lithuania and Sweden. The students gathered each morning, then went on to work in groups and eventually came together in the afternoon to listen to presentations. These were 5 discursive events with participation of international guest lecturers both live or online, such as Una Chauduri, Rebecca Hilton and Edit Kaldor. This Forum, including presentations from artists, intelletuals, cultural politicians and representatives of Nordic culture funds, continued a dialogue and debate that started in the network with seminars held in Reykjavík (2017) and Fredrikstad (2018), where exchange of ideas for curricular developments and teaching strategies had already started.
