A Stage of Emergency was a one week intensive course including more than one hundred performing arts students and teachers as participants. The event took place in Copenhagen from 14-19 March 2022. Altogether 12 Norteas institutions participated with students and staff. During the course the participants addressed and worked with questions such as:
How do we perform, act, and teach in a time of cultural, economic and environmental crisis?
How do we approach diversity in the different cultural contexts?
How do we act and express ourselves politically?
What is the role of art in society? What do the students need in order to engage in society?
How does artistic research affect our approach to teaching and inter-disciplinary work?
